Pitted (Marmarino)

Marmarino meaning small pieces of marble explains this finish. This finish has extra marble added to it so that it gives an old, broken away more grainy appearance. A very natural stone like look (e.g. limestone or granite aged marble). It is seen to be good in both light and dark colours. Combined with downlighting really shows a natural depth. This can be left for a matt finish or a light sheen. You can achieve nearly any shade, tone or colour with this finish. It is applied in two thin coats. This is the ideal finish to use in conjunction with colour and wax washes. As more depth can be gained which enhances the grain.
